Boston Children's Hospital

Baby Silas's neurosurgeon was out of town when he was born, so he had to be rushed by medical transport to Children's Hospital Boston to have his back closed.


Mom and dad and grandma got to spend an hour with him before he was sent to Boston.




Baby Silas's back was placed in a sterile dressing at Yale and prepared for transport to Boston to have his back closed.

Dad and Aunt Michelle (who thankfully happened to be visiting from California that week) followed the ambulance from New Haven to Boston, while Sada and her mom went into the recovery room in New Haven for two days.


Baby Silas's back was closed by the neurosurgery team at CHB on Wednesday, Oct. 28.

Silas had to stay on his tummy for the first 48 hours after his operation.


Mom and baby were finally reunited on Friday after Sada was discharged from Yale-New Haven hospital following her recovery from the c-section...
